A wedding, a New Year’s Day party, and a Semester at Sea reunion all rolled into one? The third annual Semester at Sea Rock the Dock event in San Diego was the kind of celebration that showed students who sail together, stay together.
On January 1, 486 guests gathered on board the MV World Odyssey to meet with old shipmates and new friends, dance the night away on deck, take a tour of Semester at Sea’s floating campus, reconnect with crew, and meet with new Institute of Shipboard Education President Gary Ransdell.
At the same time, Semester at Sea alumni Mark Ferne and Stephanie Green, who met during the Spring 2016 Voyage, returned to the MV World Odyssey to tie the knot.
Congratulations to Mark and Stephanie, and thank you to everyone who came out to kick the 2018 year off right by supporting Semester at Sea!
