Podcast Episode 2: Author and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Meg Jay talks “Twenty-Somethings” and her own SAS Experience

Dr. Meg Jay is no stranger to Semester at Sea, in fact, it’s where she has been able to spend two voyages with her “favorite age group” – twentysomethings!

Meg sailed as a professor on Semester at Sea in Spring 2020 and Fall 2022 and reflects on her own voyage experiences making an impact on her professional success. As a renowned author and clinical psychologist, her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, Forbes, and more.

In her time with us, she discusses how the experiences on the ship – in which voyagers go without constant access to their phones – helped grow global citizens during the SP20 voyage and beyond, and how students on Semester at Sea are, “figuring out how to move forward and get out in the world and create the lives they want.”
