Health & Safety Update Regarding Spring 2017 Voyage

At approximately noon local time, March 27, the MV World Odyssey experienced a minor fire in its generator room. No persons were injured, and the ship’s crew quickly extinguished the fire by hand-held fire extinguisher. As a precaution, the primary power was cut and propulsion was suspended while emergency power remained active. For approximately one hour, the ship remained in calm seas and stationary while the crew performed minor repairs. Classes and on-board life continued as normal. The ship has now resumed full power and propulsion, and we expect an on-time arrival to Ghana on Friday, March 31st.
