Get Involved
When you disembark from your voyage, it’s not the end of your journey with SAS — it’s only the beginning! The voyage continues within each one of us and in each of our lives as we go out into the world as connected and engaged global citizens. From the moment you step off the gangway, you’re officially a lifetime member of the SAS Alumni Association.
Ways to Share
Semester at Sea alumni are the best recruiters and spokespeople for the program.
Sharing your Semester at Sea experience with prospective students, Lifelong Learners, faculty, and staff allows us to help grow our Semester at Sea community around the world! To our alumni — thank you for your sharing your time, talents, and expertise in support of Semester at Sea!

Mentor & Network
Global Ambassador Program
Semester at Sea Global Ambassadors are outstanding student leaders who have recently returned from a voyage and are excited to share their experience and encourage others to see the world! This is perfect for students interested in maintaining a strong connection with Semester at Sea after their voyage while sharing their study abroad passion and program knowledge with prospective students via social media, e-mail, or on-campus engagement. As an additional bonus, you can add international education experience to your resume. We look forward to working with you!
Diversity Peer Mentor Program
We are seeking energetic alumni to chat with prospective voyagers from underrepresented backgrounds. If you identify with any of the following, we’d love to connect you with prospective voyagers: low-income, LGBTQIA+, first generation, veteran, physical disability or limited mobility, learning disability, African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American, multiracial, or if you identify with a specific religion.
