Thank you for your interest in applying for Semester at Sea grants and scholarships! You must be a confirmed voyager, by paying your deposit, before you can apply for any Semester at Sea financial aid. Please answer the questions below to continue.
Overview
Students may apply for merit-based aid if they maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Additional consideration will be given to those students demonstrating leadership within their campus or community. Awards range from $250 to $2,500. Award ranges are based on GPA, quality of essay, and demonstrated leadership experience.
The merit grant is awarded on a rolling basis until approximately two weeks prior to the voyage embarkation date or until the funds have been depleted — whichever occurs first. Please allow two weeks for review of your application. Applications formally close one month before voyage embarkation unless otherwise noted. Students should apply for this grant early if they wish to receive funding.
University of Colorado, Boulder; Colorado State University; and California Polytechnic State University students are required to apply for SAS merit funding directly with the Education Abroad office and may not apply with SAS directly.
