Semester at Sea’s Fall 2022 Voyage (the 130th) successfully arrived in their fist port of call of Lisbon, Portugal, on Friday, September 16. Voyagers will have five days in-country to explore before continuing on their 105 day voyage.

Student Expectations
During their first week on board, we asked several students, “What are you most excited about experiencing?”
I am most excited to explore new countries with all of my new friends!! I am so excited to experience ship life and all of the traditions that come with it.
As someone who hasn’t gotten the experience to travel outside of the country very much, I am beyond excited to explore different cultures. Semester at Sea is a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to so many different and unique countries and meet students from all around the country and world.
The ability to experience a different culture, and be able to watch myself grow, and become a more well-rounded individual is what I am most excited about. This is such a unique opportunity and I cannot wait to see how much my life will change by seeing the world.
I am so excited to see Petra and the Dead Sea!
I can’t wait to watch every sunrise and sunset on the ship! I can’t wait to create lifelong friendships with my shipmates! I can’t wait to participate in all of the shipboard events!
